Crewe chairman John Bowler insists the club will do all they can to protect the best interests of sought-after forward Nick Powell.

England Under-18 international Powell capped an impressive breakthrough season with a stunning opening goal in Alex's 2-0 npower League Two play-off final triumph over Cheltenham last weekend.
Manchester United reportedly led a clutch of top-flight clubs interested in his services, and Bowler is happy to help the 18-year-old's career move on to the next level.
"We need to make young lads understand that they are not missing out on going to a bigger club, because if they stay here they are going to get their chance like Nick has.
"We have always acknowledged as a club that there is a time when it is right for our players to move on and Nick is at the front of that queue.
"We will have conversations with Nick and his family to gauge what is obviously right for us in terms of value, but (also) what is right for the players."
