Artell winning fitness battle

Crewe expect to have captain David Artell and midfielder Luke Murphy available for the npower League Two play-off final against Cheltenham.
Artell was a surprise inclusion at centre-back for the second-leg of the semi-final triumph over Southend, having suffered a broken metatarsal in training ahead of the first game at Gresty Road. The 31-year-old received encouraging news when an x-ray after the game showed the bone had not moved and he will be able to lead his side out at Wembley if that prognosis remains unchanged. Murphy missed the 2-2 draw at Roots Hall after suffering a grade two tear to his groin in the decisive first-leg victory. If he is passed fit, Murphy must oust Lee Bell from central midfield after the former Macclesfield man impressed against the Shrimpers. Should Crewe manage to secure promotion after three years in the fourth tier they will have extended a club-record unbeaten run to 19 matches.
