Crewe manager Steve Davis has threatened to ring the changes for the Capital One Cup trip to West Ham after a humiliating 5-1 loss to Brentford on Saturday.
Forward Max Clayton could be brought into the starting line-up as Davis looks to recover from what he described as the worst performance since he took over in November. Clayton started against Notts County on the opening day of the season in a three-pronged attack alongside Mathias Pogba and AJ Leitch-Smith. But the striker has had to settle for a place on the bench in the Alex's previous two league fixtures, coming on in the second half on both occasions. Elsewhere, Alan Martin will continue to deputise in goal for the injured Steve Phillips, who underwent knee surgery last week. Davis will also be without utility-man Matt Tootle (hip) and forward Michael West (heel).
