New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets in a one-off series opening Twenty20 encounter in Hamilton.

The Black Caps made short work of the tourists batting order as they dismissed them for just 78 in 17.3 overs with captain Daniel Vettori the star with the ball, as he claimed 3-6 from his four overs at Seddon Park.
New Zealand easily reached their victory target within 8.2 overs as opener Brendon McCullum smashing 56 off 27 balls, including seven fours and two sixes, while his partner Peter Ingram fired a 23-ball 20 not out on his international debut.
Bangladesh will now look to find their feet in time for the three-match one-day international series, which starts in Napier on Friday.
