Cricket, 11:14, December 29, 2009 ,
Paul Collingwood has been sent for a scan on the finger he dislocated during fielding practice at Kingsmead.
The Durham batsman was struck whilst warming up before the start of the fourth day of the second Test of the series against South Africa.
England are keeping their fingers crossed the 33-year-old will be able to finish the game at Durban, but may decide not to risk him.
He may also now not be ready for the third Test beginning on January 3 in Cape Town.
Collingwood reached 91 on Monday before he was dismissed for a fourth time in the 90s when he edged a cut shot off part-time spinner JP Duminy.
