Colly to have knee surgery
England all-rounder Paul Collingwood will have keyhole surgery on a knee injury after the World Cup and could miss the IPL.
The 34-year-old Durham player has struggled with the problem for some time and missed England's group-stage wins against South Africa and West Indies.
Collingwood, who is contracted to play for Rajasthan Royals, is expected to miss at least part of the Indian Premier League, which starts on 8th April.
Collingwood retired from Test cricket after England had retained The Ashes against Australia in the winter but is continuing to play Twenty20 and 50-over cricket.
He will not be taking part in the World Cup quarter-final between England and co-hosts Sri Lanka on Saturday.
Collingwood remains captain of the Twenty20 side which beat Australia to claim England's first limited-over tournament triumph in the Caribbean 10 months ago.
