England see off troubled Pakistan

England eased to a five-wicket win over troubled Pakistan in the first Twenty20 international in Cardiff.
The home side initially struggled to get going as they set about reaching their 127 target but eventually a 67 partnership from Eoin Morgan and Michael Yardy off 50 balls secured a comfortable win with 17 balls left at the Swalec Stadium.
Pakistan, who are in turmoil off the pitch amid allegations of spot-fixing against them made by the News of the World newspaper, had been put into bat by England skipper Paul Collingwood and struck 126 with Umar Akmal top scoring with 35.
Spinner Graeme Swann was again the pick of the England bowlers as he found plenty of turn to take 2-14, but England's reply did not begin well as Luke Wright went for a duck to leave them on just 62-5 after 10 overs.
However, Morgan and Yardy steadied the ship while Steven Davies contributed well, hitting 33 from 27 balls, to help steer England to their sixth Twenty20 win in a row.
