Flower keeping an eye on Anderson

England coach Andy Flower says he is not worried by James Anderson's persistent knee injuries and is determined to get him fit.

The Lancashire fast bowler will sit out Wednesday's warm-up match with a South Africa Invitational XI as a precautionary measure as the medical staff continue to investigate the knee injury which has hindered Anderson for the past two months.
The 27-year-old is expected to be fit enough to play some part in England's second warm-up match against the Invitation XI, which starts on Friday.
However, Flower concedes that if Anderson were to be unavailable for that game then he would be a doubt for the first Test match on December 16.
"There must be something wrong, but nothing comes up on the scans," Flower explained.
"So nothings going to snap, and it's not cartilage that is going to wear away.
"What we do know is that there is nothing structurally wrong with it.
"So he's not going to damage himself terribly by playing. But what would debilitate him is the pain, if his leg is too sore to perform at 100%.
"The last set of injections on Saturday have worked significantly better than the first set - so that is encouraging.
"But if he doesn't come through this two-day game well, then that would be a problem for the Test. "We definitely want him to play here."
