Harmison back in England fold
Durham paceman Steve Harmison has won a recall to the England squad for the third Test against South Africa at Edgbaston.
The 29-year-old was dropped after a disappointing first Test against New Zealand in Hamilton back in March but has been firing again for his county and returns to the England fold, along with Paul Collingwood and Ryan Sidebottom, who has recovered from a back problem.
Australia-raised Darren Pattinson, a controversial selection at Headingley, has been dropped from the squad, as well as Hampshire bowler Chris Tremlett.
England, 1-0 down in the four-match series, twice struggled to bowl out the Proteas and have turned to 'Grievous Bodily' Harmison, who tops the wicket-taking charts in Division One of the County Championship with 41 in nine games at an average of 22.8.
"Steve has been bowling well for Durham this season and his inclusion in the Test squad gives us another option in terms of our bowling attack for the Edgbaston Test," national selector Geoff Miller said.
