Mangal thanks Australia

Afghanistan captain Nawroz Mangal has revealed his side's excitement ahead of their one-day international against Australia.

After only gaining ICC affiliate membership in 2001, the Afghans have risen through the ranks despite the troubles in their homeland and are set to take part in their second T20 World Cup next month in Sri Lanka.
However, before that they will make history by taking on Australia in Sharjah on Saturday and Mangal's says his side are understandably excited about the prospect of facing one of the sport's leading nations.
"Definitely it's a big occasion for us and we want to make the best use of it," he said. "We have done well against Scotland and Ireland but given a chance against Australia is a big thing and we are excited about it.
"It's an opportunity for them to come out with nothing to lose and plenty to gain and I think it will be good cricket."
