Northants suffer Vaas blow

Northamptonshire have suffered an injury blow after it emerged Sri Lankan seamer Chaminda Vaas will miss the rest of the season.
The 38-year-old has been playing with several knocks this season and has managed just six LV= County Championship Division Two matches so far this summer for Northants.
Now it has been confirmed that the left-armer is out for the remainder of the campaign in what is a blow to the side. He is set to undergo tests over the next few days and may even require surgery in the coming weeks.
Northamptonshire chief executive David Smith said: "This is disappointing news for Chaminda and the team. He has played such an important role for the club over the past couple of years.
"We wish him well in his recovery."
