Proteas rest Kallis for World Twenty20
South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis will play no part in the one-day international series against England, it has been announced.
Cricket South Africa has announced the 15-man squad which will not contain the veteran 36-year-old, with Dean Elgar, who has yet to be capped by his country, taking his place. Elsewhere, spinner Imran Tahir and all-rounder Ryan McLaren are back after missing the 3-0 whitewash of New Zealand earlier in the year. CSA say Kallis is being rested for the World Twenty20 in September and so will sit out the five ODIs coming up against England, starting on August 24 in Cardiff. England and South Africa will warm up for the World Twenty20 by playing three Twenty20 games against each other after the ODI series. South Africa ODI squad: AB de Villiers (captain), Hashim Amla (vice-captain), JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Dean Elgar, Imran Tahir, Ryan McLaren, Albie Morkel, Morne Morkel, Justin Ontong, Wayne Parnell, Robin Peterson, Graeme Smith, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
