Royals confirm Tanvir delay
Sohail Tanvir will miss at least two of Worcestershire's matches in the Friends Life T20 after being added to the Pakistan squad.
Tanvir was set to link up with the Royals for their opening game in the competition against Warwickshire at Edgbaston after representing his country in their Twenty20 series in Sri Lanka. However, he has now been drafted into Pakistan's one-day squad as a replacement for the injured Nasir Jamshed. Worcestershire chief executive David Leatherdale confirmed the news although he is hopeful Tanvir will be available for the side soon. He said: "Sohail has been added to Pakistan's one-day squad and will remain in Sri Lanka until Monday. "We are trying to organise a visa so he can fly direct to England and avoid having to go back to Pakistan first and hope he will only miss the first two Twenty20 games."
