Tredwell called up for Swann

Kent spinner James Tredwell has been called up for the England Test squad as a "like for like" replacement for Graeme Swann.

Swann has been struggling to shake off an ongoing side complaint but is expected to feature in the first Test against South Africa on Wednesday.
However, team director Andy Flower said he felt it necessary to bring in extra cover in case Swann should break down with a further three matches remaining after Centurion.
"Graeme's injury is improving and we expect him to be available," he said.
"But with a further three matches to come after Centurion we have decided that we need a 'like for like' replacement on hand for Graeme should this be required later in the tour."
Uncapped Tredwell, 27, was first drafted into the England one-day party during the recent 2-1 success over the Proteas.
