Trott not fazed by taunts

Cricket, 09:38, December 22, 2009 ,

Jonathan Trott has said he is ready to face any verbals from his former countrymen when England play South Africa in the second Test.

Trott put down a marker in his native country by grinding out a stubborn 69 in the Test opener to help England secure a last-gasp draw.
The two nations will lock horns again on Boxing Day when the second of four Tests gets underway at Kingsmead in Durban and Trott expects his ears will be ringing.
When asked about attempts to rattle him during his partnership of 145 with his fellow South Africa-born England batsman Kevin Pietersen on Sunday, Trott said: "I didn't hear too much.
"I was just concentrating on what the two of us had to do.
"I'm sure they were (chatting) - but I didn't really pay too much attention to it."
