Warne set for Big Bash
Bowling legend Shane Warne is set to make a comeback out of retirement and take part in the Twenty20 domestic competition in Australia.
The Melbourne Stars are reportedly one of the favourites to acquire the player's services for the upcoming campaign, but there are several clubs interested in the spinner.
Warne had decided to hang up his cricket spikes back in May after a fourth Indian Premier League season but is now set to take part in the Big Bash event.
The 42-year-old's manager James Erskine believes it will be a boost for the competition to see Warne back on the field.
He said: "He's as fit as he's ever been and he believes he is still one of the top spin bowlers in the world.
"But he is 42 and realises if he plays there is a certain amount of hype and media attention. One of the advantages would be that his kids are now old enough to watch him play."
