Croatia boss Slaven Bilic says he was unsurprised by the convincing nature at which his side eased past Ireland on Sunday.
A Mario Mandzukic brace plus a controversial goal from Everton's Nikica Jelavic gave the Croats a comfortable 3-1 victory and Bilic has now said that he would have been shocked if his side had lost to Giovanni Trapattoni's men. "I was expecting this kind of result," he said. "We prepared well for the game and knew everything about Ireland. We thought we were the better team, but you never know."
