Defender set for Eagles exit

Crystal Palace, 15:42, June 16, 2010 ,

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish is said to have opened talks with Crystal Palace as he attempts to sign defender Nathaniel Clyne.

The youngster has been the outstanding player for Palace over the past couple of seasons and was rated extremely highly by former boss Neil Warnock who has predicted a Premiership future for the youngster.
Palace have well documented financial problems and Clyne is one of their most saleable assets so a move for the 19-year-old is thought to be very likely and McLeish appears to head the list.
