Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman insists the future looks bright for the club despite their recent disappointing run.
Palace have slipped to 16th in the Championship after Tuesday's defeat at Portsmouth made it seven games without a win.
But Freedman said: "I am a manager who doesn't just look at results, but I take a lot from performances and even with players missing through injury I can see this squad is going in the right direction.
"With one or two additions in the summer we will not be far away and I am sure we can move this club to the next level.
"Anyone who has seen us play recently can see there are plenty of positives to take from the games and there is plenty for supporters of Crystal Palace to look forward to."
