New Clyne bid tabled

Crystal Palace, 14:18, July 21, 2010 ,

Birmingham are refusing to give up in their chase for Crystal Palace full-back Nathaniel Clyne and have lodged a new £2m bid for him.

The Blues, who are currently on tour in Beijing, have already had two offers turned down by the Eagles but hope to land their man with their latest attempt.
New Palace boss George Burley is desperate to keep hold of the 19-year-old who excelled last season as the team battled to beat the drop, after having ten points deducted for going into administration.
Clyne almost left Selhurst Park in January but snubbed the chance to move to Wolves but it's thought he would look more favourably towards a switch to City.
Alex McLeish's first bid for the England under-19 international was believed to be around the £750,000 mark, before upping their offer to £1.25m, but on both occasions Palace turned them down flat.
