Palace saved by new owners

Crystal Palace, 18:41, June 7, 2010 ,

CPFC 2010 have signed contracts to buy Crystal Palace and will take full control of the football club at the end of July.

Brendan Guilfoyle, who has been acting as joint administrator of the Eagles, confirmed the news on Monday afternoon that the club is now safe after five months in administration.
He revealed: "Each football club has a share in the football league and in essence we have agreed to transfer that share to the new owners, Crystal Palace Football Club 2010.
"This was a hostile appointment, so we have had to win the trust and support of directors and staff."
Mr Guilfoyle admitted one of the first tasks for the new owners will be to find a new manager, with reports suggesting that Chris Coleman has already held talks over the vacancy.
