Rosicky offers Czechs hope

Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky raised hopes of an injury return when he took part in training on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old playmaker missed the crucial victory over Poland in the final group match and returned to Prague for treatment. The Czechs are hopeful he will return for Thursday's quarter-final against Portugal.
"Rosicky returned to the team after two days of treatment in Prague and underwent light training," said national team spokesman Jaroslav Kolar. "It's still true that we will decide whether he will play or not only before the game."
