Dagenham coach Wayne Burnett could not hide his delight after a 1-1 draw with Crawley secured the Essex outfit's npower League Two survival.

Charlie Wassmer put Crawley ahead from close range, but Billy Bingham levelled with a stunning strike on the stroke of half-time to seal the draw and his side's place in the Football League next season. Burnett was pleased to see his side prevail on the back of a difficult campaign. He said: "It's been a really tough season for us, we've had lots of injuries, but we've come through it, stuck together and managed to stay up with two games remaining. We're delighted. "We're unbeaten in eight games now, 10 games ago it could have been one of seven to go down, but we've picked ourselves up and done it on our own merits. We haven't had to rely on anyone else. "I thought it was a good team performance, particularly in the second half. We weren't defending as much as in the first half and took the game to them."
