Duo in frame for Daggers return

Dagenham boss John Still must decide whether to hand recalls to John Akinde and Josh Parker for Good Friday's visit of Burton.

Striker Akinde and midfielder Parker both went into last weekend's 1-0 victory at Port Vale carrying knocks, with the former an unused substitute and the latter not even making the matchday 16. Both have now recovered but Still faces a dilemma as to whether to tinker with a winning line-up following the superb victory at Vale Park, with Brian Woodall and Billy Bingham the two who came in. A decision will also be made as to whether midfielders Peter Gain and Luke Howell (both knee) are ready to make their first-team returns after the pair both managed 90 minutes for the reserves earlier this week. Matt Saunders has now undergone surgery to his troublesome ankle and has been ruled out for the rest of the season, joining Sam Williams (knee) and Kevin Maher (foot). A total of 10 points from the last 12 on offer has left the Daggers five points and four places clear of the drop zone.
