Dagenham assistant manager Terry Harris hailed striker Brian Woodall after his excellent late goal rescued a welcome point in a 1-1 draw against Burton
Jacques Maghoma gave the visitors the lead shortly after half-time but Woodall fired home with two minutes remaining to extend the Daggers' unbeaten run to five matches. Harris said: "They scored a 'worldy', it was a fantastic shot, then they shut up shop. But thankfully Brian came up with an excellent strike towards the end and that's a point that could be very important. "He's been absolutely fantastic for us and will only get better. His hold-up play was excellent and he got his just rewards with the goal that he scored. "We would have preferred three points. But Burton made it very hard for us and defended very well. There wasn't much goal action at either end. The pitch was hard and we couldn't get the ball wide. We didn't cause the goalkeeper too many problems and neither did they." Harris continued: "It's very tight down at the bottom. It's going to go to the wire. But we've been on a good run and that's another game unbeaten and we'll take that point to our game with Gillingham on Monday."
