Derby County news
The Rams were one of the 12 founder members of the Football League in 1888, but their ‘glory years’ came much later under the leadership of legendary manager Brian Clough.
Clough guided Derby to the league title in 1972 before leaving the club, but his captain Dave Mackay took over and managed to win it once more in 1975-76.
Derby won the first post-war FA Cup in 1946, beating Charlton Athletic 4-1 after extra time. They moved from the Baseball ground to Pride Park in 1997.
