Boss wants to change Rams approach

Derby County, 14:26, January 19, 2009 ,

Derby boss Nigel Clough wants the Rams to be more positive especially with their efforts at home, following the defeat to QPR.

The new boss claimed there was a lot of negative play from his side in Saturday's defeat, particularly after the Rams had fallen behind and he will be looking to change that attitude as quickly as he can.
"We want to get a more positive attitude on the pitch, which we showed to start with but then once QPR's first goal went in we seemed to go backwards again," Clough told the Telegraph.
"There was a lot of backward play and backward passes. I don't think there were too may people looking to go forward with it, so that's something we want to encourage and work on.
"We're at home in front of 28,000 people, so let's get on the front foot. We weren't on the front foot once that first goal went in."
