Derby County forward Craig Bryson has tipped their newest signing Conor Sammon to be a big hit at the club.
Sammon signed for the Derbyshire outfit last week on a deal worth around £1.2 million from Premier League side Wigan Athletic. The 25-year-old has been re-united with his former team-mate Bryson, as they both used to feature for Kilmarnock together. Sammon notched 25 goals for the Scottish club in 75 appearances which attracted the attention from the Latics.
Bryson is pleased to have Sammon back on the same side as him and rates the front man highly.
"I know what Conor can do and why the gaffer chased him for so long," said Bryson.
"He scored 18 goals before the end of January in 2010-11 and got his move to Wigan."
"So if we can create chances for him, he can score goals."
"He was a popular player at Kilmarnock and Wigan, and I'm sure he can become a popular player at Derby."
