Davies fractures eye socket - report

Derby County, 14:26, October 20, 2008 ,

Derby striker Steve Davies is reportedly facing several weeks out after fracturing his eye socket in the Rams' win over Plymouth.

The 20-year-old was taken to hospital after sustaining the serious injury in Saturday's 2-1 win over Argyle at Pride Park and is undergoing tests to determine the full extent of the damage.
BBC Radio Derby report the injury will keep him out for up to a couple of months in what is a blow to boss Paul Jewell's plans.
Kris Commons, who came on in his place and set up the equaliser against Plymouth to extend Derby's seven-game unbeaten run, is now expected to play at Blackpool on Tuesday.
