Defensive crisis prompts loan recall
Derby County, 14:24, January 2, 2009 ,
On-loan Notts County defenders Jason Beardsley and Mitchell Hanson have both been recalled by Derby County.
The pair have returned to Pride Park as the Rams have a shortage of defenders ahead of Saturday's FA Cup tie with Forest Green.
Beardsley has made 14 appearances for the Magpies since joining in the summer but has since struggled after sustaining a thigh injury in October.
Hanson, meanwhile, has made five appearances during his month-long loan spell at Meadow Lane but could also be needed against Forest Green this weekend.
Elsewhere, temporary boss Chris Hutchings is without defender Jordan Stewart who is suspended while top scorer Nathan Ellington is a major doubt after he picked up a hamstring injury and was forced off after only nine minutes against Ipswich last weekend.
Defender James Tomkins has returned to West Ham following his month-long loan spell while Liam Dickinson is back at Pride Park after his loan stay at Blackpool but is ineligible for Saturday.
Arsenal winger Nacer Barazite, however, has extended his loan spell and should feature.
