Nigel Clough has started to trim the size of his squad and Andrejs Pereplotkins' season-long loan has been cancelled.
After just three appearances for the Rams since moving from Skonto Riga in the summer it has been decided to allow him to return home.
"It was felt to be in the best interests of all parties. Andrejs was not getting the game-time his club wanted him to get," Rams chairman of football, Adam Pearson, told the Telegraph.
"The manager (Nigel Clough) feels we have got plenty of cover in that department. He feels far more comfortable dealing with a normal-sized squad and is keen to reduce the numbers, so it is part of that exercise."
