Green hails Rams fans

Paul Green has paid tribute to Derby fans after announcing his decision to leave Pride Park this week.

The midfielder has been linked to a host of npower Championship clubs after bringing an end to his four-year stay with the Rams. "Since I arrived at the club, the supporters have been fantastic with me. It has been a great four years and I really do appreciate their support," he told the club's official website. "They are great and hopefully the club can kick-on and move forward again next year." He added: "I remember coming through the doors at the training ground and thinking how big a club Derby is. "It has been a great club to be at; ambitious, a very professional set-up and it is all ready for the Premier League."
