Rams reject Maguire bids

Derby have rejected two bids from an unnamed Championship club for striker Chris Maguire.

Maguire, who only joined the Rams from Aberdeen a year ago in a deal worth around £470,000, is one of the players manager Nigel Clough is willing to sell this summer. The 23-year-old struggled to break into the first team at Pride Park, making just eight appearances in all competitions before moving to Portsmouth on loan in March. A Derby spokesman said: "We have received two bids from a Championship club in the past week for Chris Maguire and both have been rejected."
