Boss philosophical in defeat

Doncaster Rovers, 17:11, January 27, 2010 ,

Despite seeing his side beaten 4-1 at the Keepmoat Stadium by Middlesbrough Sean O'Driscoll hailed his Doncaster side's performance.

Boro's highly-coveted winger Adam Johnson scored twice for the visitors as Donny were condemned to defeat at the Keepmoat Stadium for the first time since October.
O'Driscoll feels his side performed well despite the defeat and was full of praise for Boro following their victory.
He said: "We were a bit depleted tonight, but I can't fault people's efforts. We tried to do the right thing and never gave up. Everybody worked hard and we have one or two opportunities that, if they go in, it would have been a different game. It was a quality strike (by Johnson) to open proceedings and a quality strike to finish proceedings (Johnson). I could see why Chelsea would want to pay five million quid for Adam Johnson.
"I'm pleased with the attitude of the players; all they can do is the right things. The scoreline sometimes doesn't matter despite the fact that it is what you will be judged on."
The Donny boss felt his side showed a great attitude but just came up against a better team in Middlesbrough.
He added: "I thought that to a man they were excellent and I have no complaints for their attitude - I just think we were beaten by a better team."
