Defender bid stepped up
Doncaster Rovers, 16:25, June 9, 2009 ,
Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies is poised to make an improved £2 million bid for Rovers defender Matt Mills this week.
Sean O'Driscoll set the £2m tag on his star defender and rejected Forest's £1.5million offer last month, but reports claim Davies is now set to step up his bid.
Rovers rejected a similar £1.5million bid from Birmingham in January and Forest are keen to tie up a deal before Blues boss Alex McLeish turns his attention back to Mills.
