Donny star hopes for start
Doncaster Rovers, 18:51, April 15, 2010 ,
Doncaster midfielder Sean McDaid is hopeful of starting a league game before the end of the season after his injury nightmare.
McDaid is yet to start a Championship fixture for Donny, missing their entire first season through injury and suffering fitness woes again through the course of the current campaign.
However, McDaid is now fully-fit and hopeful of starting a game for the Rovers before the season draws to a close, although he is unsure if boss Sean O'Driscoll will hand him the opportunity.
McDaid told the Sheffield Star: "The fans gave me a great reception when I came on as a sub, it showed that they hadn't forgotten me,
"I'd love to start a game before the end of the season but I don't think the manager will shake things up just for the sake of it.
"I've had a good six months since I came back to training and I've played in a number of practice matches, I'm ready to go.
"You've got to deal with injuries the best you can. I'd put on a bit of a front on the training ground, but it was more difficult at times when I was at home and no-one was there."
