Latics boss in Guy deal admission

Doncaster Rovers, 12:41, April 21, 2010 ,

Oldham boss Dave Penney has confirmed that he would like to sign Doncaster striker Lewis Guy on a permanent basis in the summer.

The 24-year-old has fired three goals in eight appearances for the League One outfit since moving to Boundary Park on loan from Rovers until the end of the season. And Penney has seen enough quality from Guy to leave him hopeful of securing the necessary package to sign him on a full time basis.
Penney told the club's official website: "He has done well for us and has been taking the chances that have come his way.
"Lewis is out of contract, as are a lot of players, in the summer.
"A lot will depend on whether we can afford him so we will have a see where we are, what the budget is and see what we can do with our players who are out of contract."
