O'Driscoll dismisses Beckford rumours

Doncaster Rovers, 15:02, June 11, 2009 ,

Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll has laughed off reports he has made a £1million move for Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford.

Beckford has been transfer listed by Leeds United after refusing to sign a new contract at Elland Road and O'Driscoll's assistant Richard O'Kelly had claimed Donny would be interested in bringing Beckford to the Keepmoat Stadium.
Reports surfaced suggesting Rovers had launched a £1million bid to try and bring the 25-year-old to Doncaster, but O'Driscoll has scoffed at the reports and claims he doesn't have those kind of finances at his disposal.
He told the Doncaster Free Press: That's a good one. It would be nice to have that kind of money to spend.
"We have not made an offer for anyone and nobody has been in for any of our players, which is great."
