Rovers ace makes return
Doncaster Rovers, 18:43, November 4, 2009 ,
Sean McDaid played his first game in 18 months in Doncaster's practice match at Sheffield United, while Jack Wilson also impressed.
Defender McDaid was handed a 20-minute run-out in his first appearance following a number of knee operations, as he seeks to get back to full fitness.
Assistant manager Richard O'Kelly was at the game and indicated that the 23-year-old could be sent out on loan to get some action under his belt. Rovers' number two said: "He needs to play more practice games or part games for us. He's not yet ready for us to consider trying to get him out on loan but in a couple of weeks' time he probably will be."
Midfielder Wilson also played 20 minutes and speaking about his future, O'Kelly added: "Jack gave a good show. I don't think he's ready for the first-team squad at the moment but we are trying to see if there is a player who is going to be out there in a year or so."
