Rovers duo in a race to return

Doncaster Rovers, 17:07, April 12, 2010 ,

Skipper Brian Stock and defender Jason Shackell are hoping to regain full fitness for Doncaster before the end of the current season.

Rovers have badly missed Wales international Stock after he was ruled out since February having undergone surgery on a back problem which had plagued him earlier in the campaign and restricted him to just 18 appearances so far.
Loan man Shackell has returned to parent club Wolves for treatment on a groin injury which has kept him on the sidelines for the past 14 games. However both are making progress and Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll feels the duo have a chance of playing before the summer break.
He said: "Brian is aiming to get back before the end of the season and Jason has got the target of the last game of the season. We won't push either of the players but both are motivated to get back before the end of the season.
"Brian is probably nearer but Jason is really determined to play some part in the last game of the season, which is good.
"His attitude has been first class, as has Brian's."
