Trollope keen on Donny forward
Doncaster Rovers, 15:41, April 8, 2010 ,
Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope says he is determined to bring Doncaster striker Paul Heffernan back to the club in the summer.
The Rovers hitman had his loan spell at the Memorial Stadium cut short due to an injury crisis at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The striker is out of contract in the summer and Trollope is keen to sign the player on a permanent basis.
Trollope told club website: "He scored four goals in 11 games for us, which is a good return, and I think he fitted in really well with the group and showed his quality and a work ethic which rubbed off on some of the other players.
"We have had some early conversations about the possibilities for next season. He is out of contract and not sure what the situation will be at Doncaster, although I don't think he's that confident about getting a new one.
"He enjoyed his time here and I think he liked the way we did things."
