Wilson seeks positive response
Doncaster Rovers, 14:05, January 25, 2010 ,
Mark Wilson is urging his Doncaster team-mates to get Saturday's FA Cup disappointment out of their system as quickly as possible.
Rovers appeared on course for a fourth round replay against Derby before Jay McEveley's heartbreaking late goal took the Rams through instead.
The midfielder is convinced the players won't dwell on the setback though and will now redouble their efforts to finish as high up the Championship table as possible.
He said: "You have to prepare for defeat as well as you prepare for success so that you can deal with it better. We seem to be doing that well at the moment, dealing with it well when we do get beat. We've been able to take the positives from all situations; yes, you are disappointed and you are down - but you have to move on because the games come in thick and fast. It's something that has been instilled in us by the coaching staff, to deal with defeat properly and we seem to be doing it, so we'll get on with it.
On the whole, we probably had more of the ball - but unfortunately we have got beat - now it's back to the League."
Rovers don't have long to wait for their next challenge as Wilson's former club Middlesbrough make the trip to the Keepmoat Stadium tomorrow night.
