Hegarty happy to be back

Dundee United, 14:31, February 25, 2010 ,

Paul Hegarty has admitted he is relishing his time back in football as assistant to Dundee United manager Peter Houston.

The former Terrors player was brought back to Tannadice to support Houston - his first job since he was controversially sacked by Livingston last April.
The 55-year-old admitted he found it tough being out of the game for almost 12 months but is now relishing his new role with United.
He said: "I'm so pleased to be back at this club where we've got a good manager, good staff and a great bunch of players.
"I left Livingston on April 25 so, as far as day-to-day club involvement goes, I'd been out for almost a year."
He added: "It's hard going at times when you are out of work but I'm just glad to be involved again."
