Dundee United boss Peter Houston is likely to be without key defender Andy Webster but insists he has quality cover.
Webster had been getting back to full fitness from a calf problem this week but aggravated the injury in training on Friday and is now set to miss the Scottish Cup tie against St Johnstone.
The Terrors have had to score seven goals in the last two games to escape with two draws without the 27-year-old and, although he is absent again, Houston insists he has confidence in the back four.
He said: "Andy has suffered a bit of a reaction so I'd have to say he's extremely doubtful for Saturday's game.
"It's disappointing because we hoped to have him available but we've got three quality centre-halves so I've got every confidence in the guys who will play.
"We've worked hard on our defending this week and we've been focusing on how we deal with corners.
"I've had the players round the houses in that respect so we should be able to deal with what St Johnstone throw at us."
