Kovacevic cleared for comeback

Dundee United, 15:47, February 17, 2010 ,

Mihael Kovacevic has declared himself fit and ready to face Celtic this weekend after making a quick recovery from a broken nose.

The Switzerland Under-21 international needed an operation after he sustained the knock against Kilmarnock three weeks ago.
But he has now made a full recovery and is back in contention to take on the Old Firm giants.
Kovacevic said in the Press and Journal: "When I broke my nose it wasn't sore at the time but when I was coming off the pitch I could tell it wasn't facing the right way.
"The doctor cracked it back into place straight away, but I couldn't feel any pain at that time. I heard from people who saw it that it wasn't pretty. It was very badly broken and was spread halfway across my face.
"I still had some problems with it and when I spoke to the specialist he said I needed an operation.
He added: "I could have waited until the end of the season but I preferred to get it done straight away. It's done now, there is no pain and my breathing is fine.
"I am back in training so I hope everything goes well so I can be involved on Saturday."
