Luuk De Jong's agent says Newcastle are still keen on signing him despite being told he will cost them 'silly money'.
The FC Twente man netted 25 times in the Eredivisie last season, leading to interest from a string of clubs from around Europe.
Newcastle have now reportedly sent officials to Holland to try and seal the deal, despite Twente boss Steve McLaren doing his best to keep hold of the player and the 21-year-old's agent Louis Laros believes its only a matter of time before he moves to a bigger league
"Luuk has taken the decision to move on," Laros said. "He wants to develop as a player in a bigger league.
"The important thing for us is the development of Luuk. Not the money, but the way of playing and the amount of playing time he will get will be decisive."
