De Boer unfazed by European challenge
Ajax boss Frank de Boer says he is unfazed by his side's difficult draw in the Champions League group stages.
The Eredivisie title holders have been drawn alongside Real Madrid, Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund, all of whom won their domestic leagues last season. Ajax are understandably the huge underdogs going into the competition but de Boer is relishing the challenge. "The pressure is on the other teams and we're just going to play our own game," he said. "Against Real, we can prove our worth again. Last season we had a good match in Madrid and two disallowed goals at the Amsterdam ArenA. "City have an incredible quality in defence and just a strong team and the same goes for Dortmund, who won the title in Germany twice in a row," he added.
