Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel says the club would like Manchester City striker John Guidetti to rejoin on loan.
Guidetti, 20, spent last season on loan at De Kuip and enjoyed a fantastic season in the Eredivisie, helping Feyenoord's title challenge with a return of 20 goals in 23 league appearances. Van Geel now wants to welcome the forward back to Rotterdam but admits he is wary over the player's situation. "We are still on alert", he told RTV Rijnmond. "It says something that he was given the number 60 shirt at Manchester City. That would be different with us." He added: "I don't want to make anyone too happy, but we do follow him." The Swedish hitman, who has one cap at international level, wants first-team football and could leave the City of Manchester Stadium with bigger names available to Roberto Mancini, however their could be a battle for his signature with a number of European clubs, including Galatasaray, interested in securing his services.
