NEC in double deal

NEC Nijmegen have signed both Geert Arend Roorda and Stijn de Looijer on Bosman deals as the club start planning for next season.

The midfielders have agreed terms with NEC and will join from Heerenveen and Den Bosch, with 24-year-old Roorda signing a two-year-deal, whilst 20-year-old de Looijer has agreed a four-year contract.
Technical director Carlos Aalbers told the club's website: "Geert Arend is a fantastic addition to our squad, we have signed a strong and dynamic midfielder with good technical skills, we are delighted with his signature."
De Looijer said of his move: "NEC are really developing. During the meetings with the club I received a clear confirmation of this.
"I am looking forward to having a successful time in Nijmegen."
