Two of the biggest names in Dutch football, PSV Eindhoven and Ajax, meet in Amsterdam on Sunday.
The two sides have dominated the Dutch Supercup, with PSV successful eight times and Ajax seven, and PSV coach Dick Advocaat in particular is pleased with the way pre-season has gone, considering that the national side were in action in the European Championships. He said: "The players are raring to go again. Their sharpness at the training pitch shows their desire to get started once more. "Pre-season was more difficult than usually because the internationals resumed training at a later point. "Everything is now business as usual again, though, and you start seeing the things you want to see. "The level is looking pretty good. Not much has changed at PSV. "The biggest signing is obviously Mark van Bommel, also with all his experience." PSV were favourites to win the title in February but then started losing games, while Ajax went on a roll to win to come out on top, and the return of van Bommel to the Eindhoven club is seen as a big plus - he is expected to figure at some point on Sunday.
